Bill Quick [BQ] has notifications that tell you your time or expense has been approved, rejected or submitted. To get these, weather weather you are the submitter or submittee 2 areas have to be configured properly. Your email settings, similar to setting up access from your phone or Thunderbird; turning on what notifications you want. These setting may also get reset after version upgrades.
In BQ under the settings tab you need to click on User Preferences. From there you can choose Email Settings and Notifications ans Reminders on the left of the work area. Email settings are to be replicated as shown below with your information. Note, if you change your email password you will need to update it here as well. Make sure you test the settings with the button provided. If all goes well you will get a good pop up and a test email in your inbox. Make sure you save your settings. After your email is properly setup you can choose what notifications you want to receive. Choose Notifications ans Reminders on the left side of the work area and a list of notifications will be listed. Simply check the ones you want. At a minimum the first 2, My Time or Expense is Approved/Rejected, should be checked. If you are someone that is having time/expenses submitted to you check the one for Time or Expense is Submitted to Me. If there are others you want you can check those boxes as well. To reduce the amount of clutter in the BQ database, at the bottom of the list, choose only send selected notifications via Emial. Not checking and clearing these can unnecessarily build these up over time. |
